Welcome

Welcome to the Cramond Boat Club, situated at the mouth of the River Almond, only 4 miles from the centre of Edinburgh.

We cater for all types of small craft, including dinghies, small cruisers and motorboats. The Club organises dinghy and keelboat racing, open regattas, cruises and family fun days.

The Cramond Boat Club is an RYA Recognised Training Centre and is approved for training Club members in the RYA National Sailing and Power Boating schemes.

The clubhouse includes changing rooms, workshop and storage as well as a bar and function room.

Free Sail & L1/2 Training

Yesterday Saturday 4 May we had a Free Sail and part two of our adult level 1/2 sailing course. We had a very light north east wind which was with us for our entire three hours on the water. Making Progress

During the past few months the 'Wednesday Club' has been quietly working away at maintenance and tidying work around the clubhouse and workshops. Sailing Season Starts

Today we started our official sailing season with a Free Sail and the first part of our RYA level 1/2 adult sailing course. In-spite of a very light north east wind all had a good day and some of our trainees even managed to do some capsize drills! Crane-In At Last

Crane-in 2024 finally happened on Saturday 20th April, after two postponements due to bad weather. The weather on Saturday was fine, and everything went well. It was a long, hard day but the keelboats are all floating and the sailing season starts properly tomorrow.
